I was born in New Julfa, Iran, of Armenian parents. My dear mother was a born again believer and used to read the Scriptures to me when I was only a little lad. As I grew up and became a worldly young man, she continued to pray for me and would often send me Gospel papers in her letters.

In May, 1932 I was working in the Iranian oil fields, living without God and yet troubled about my sins and meeting Him. One night I was led to read two of the Gospel tracts sent to me by my mother. God, in wondrous grace, spoke to my heart, and I knelt before my God and confessed my sinfulness. I had truly lived a sinful life but God granted to me repentance toward Him. The tracts spoke of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. As a sinner, I believed that He had died for my sins. It was about 9 P.M. when I received Christ and soon afterward there were changes in my life. I even made restitution to those I had wronged.

It is over forty-five years since God so graciously saved my soul. He has been a faithful God to me and has made me to grow in the knowledge of His Son, Jesus Christ, my Lord. I have assurance that the Lord Jesus loved me and gave Himself for me when He died on the cross of Calvary (Galatians 2:20). I can say with confidence that He was delivered for my offences and was raised again for my justification (Rom. 4:25). "Christ died for the ungodly" (Rom. 5:6), therefore He died for me.

Happy is the person who can truly believe that the Lord Jesus is his personal Lord and Saviour; who can believe from his heart that the Lord Jesus Christ has died for him. For all who trust in Christ alone, there is no condemnation (John 5:24).

"I seek no other argument.
I want no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And rose again for me."

If someone who is still without Christ should read this testimony, may the Holy Spirit of God bring you to realize that if you die as you are, you will be lost for all eternity in hell and in the lake of fire. If you are not 'in Christ' by faith in Him, then you are in your sins and, therefore, you are lost. I ask you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to turn in repentance toward God and put faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as your own Saviour (Acts 20:21).

Why will you die in your sins and be lost forever? God has graciously provided salvation for all who will take God's free gift of salvation in His Son (Rom. 6:23). "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31). "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (I Tim. 1:15). If you do not receive Him as your Saviour now, then He will be your Judge at the great white throne of judgment.
